A real estate agent or appraiser displaying the NVM logo offers a number of assurances. NVM continually invests in the professional expertise of the sector. Its articles of association and code of ethics provide a guarantee of the basic quality standards upheld by every NVM member.
NVM Code of Ethics
We are NVM: partners in the world of real estate. NVM members are at the heart of the community. Together, we are committed to ensuring that everyone finds a pleasant place to live, work and enjoy leisure activities. This NVM Code of Ethics sets out how we do this.
1. We contribute to a sustainable, stable and fair property market through our services.
2. Clarity and transparency are our top priorities while we adhere to agreements and are clear about our role and position.
3. Everyone is treated fairly and with all due respect.
4. We perform our services for our clients with due allowance for all the parties involved and their interests.
5. Confidential information will not be disclosed, unless we are required to share it by law or a court of law.
6. Our expertise is of a high standard. Our (potential) client will be notified in case any additional expertise should be required.
7. We do not trade in real estate or engage in project development for personal purposes.
8. We collaborate by professional standards and foster good relations.
9. We properly address complaints and work together to find a solution.
10. We cooperate to fair and independent dispute resolution and disciplinary proceedings.
The agreements in the 'Appendix NVM Code of Ethics' and the 'Protocol for Transparent Bidding on Residential Property' are an inseparable part of the NVM Code of Ethics.
